About me....
Born and raised on the outskirts of Chicago, I grew up involved in the arts ever since my mom took me to see Annie for the first time. Whether it was performing at church or performing on the step of the fireplace at holidays, I can not remember a time without the arts in my life. Eventually I went full force when I was accepted into the Chicago Academy for the Arts, where I lived, slept, and breathed theatre. Although I did not have the "typical" high school life, no football games, homecomings, cheerleading, I learned a lot at the Academy. Also saw over 50 shows whether it be in Chicago or Broadway.
I took my skills from high school and received a BFA in Musical Theatre at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. There I knew that theatre was never going to leave my blood. I moved back to Chicago not knowing what would entail. After living in the city for three years, I eventually met who was going to be husband, Michael at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. It was then I was whisked away to Florida to venture new things.
After the stint of no theatre at all, due to retail jobs that restrict it, I finally got the chance to actually star in Merrilly We Roll Along, which was written by my favorite composer (Stephen Sondheim). After that it has been non-stop starting with Most Happy Fella, which led to performing in a great professional theatre, Mad Cow Theatre in Orlando. There I have been seen in such shows as Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue, She Loves Me, archy and Mehitabel, The Music Man, Sweeney Todd (another Sondheim musical), the regional theatre premiere of Gone Missing, Eurydice and my absolute favorite show I've ever been involved with, Urinetown (and yes, it's about pee).
Now I'm happily married with three boys (with 4 legs) Reilly & Charlie (the dogs) and Tigger (the cat). Although central Florida (where we live now) is finally growing on me, I still can't seem to shake the city life out of me and eventually want to live back in Chicago. Who may see what the future will bring....
